Heartland Communications Executive Director Jeff Logan Sworn in as CALNENA 2nd Vice President

On Tuesday, March 4th, during the Annual CALNENA Conference in Los Angeles, Heartland Communications’ Executive Director, Jeff Logan, was officially sworn in as CALNENA’s 2nd Vice President. This marks the beginning of his tenure on the Board, where he will serve as 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President, President, and ultimately, Immediate Past President.

Director Logan was joined at the ceremony by his family, members of HCFA’s staff, Central Zone Chiefs, and former colleagues from NorthComm JPA and the Orange County Fire Authority.

CALNENA Board Duties

The CALNENA Executive Board is responsible for overseeing the business and affairs of the chapter, exercising all powers except those reserved for members. Their duties include managing the chapter’s activities (training & conferences), providing periodic updates to the membership, and engaging necessary staff for administrative functions. The board is also responsible for filling vacancies as outlined in the bylaws and appointing committees as needed. Additionally, they review the Treasurer’s financial reports and evaluate the proposed budget, ensuring it outlines anticipated revenues, expenses, and objectives, including any special projects outside the chapter’s regular activities.
